Disruptive Texts identifies, develops and publishes works that challenge established assumptions, expand public discourse and inspire cultural change. We begin from the belief that meaningful advances in art, science, philosophy, technology and society often begin with disruption—when existing ideas, institutions or ways of thinking no longer suffice.
Our publications investigate unresolved cultural, ethical, technological and institutional questions. They cross disciplinary boundaries, resist easy classification and invite readers to reconsider familiar ideas. Books are the beginning of these investigations. Through publishing, research, exhibitions, education and public dialogue, we extend ideas beyond the printed page and into the conversations that shape culture.
Our ambition is to become Canada’s leading publisher of experimental ideas: a home for intellectually rigorous, formally inventive and culturally consequential work. Disruption is the product.
